Mansion House Surgery are working within our PCN and in partnership with the other PCN’s across Staffordshire to deliver the Covid19 vaccinations to our patients.
The first eligible group of patients are those who are 80 years or over and care home residents including staff and as soon as we are informed about the vaccine availability we are telephoning our eligible patients to book them 2 appointments.
The vaccination requires 2 vaccinations which will be 12 weeks apart. This single dose will give some immunity to the disease. You will not be allowed to have the Covid-19 vaccination if you have had your flu jab within the last 7 days.
If you are on warfarin medication please be aware that you will be asked about your current readings and stability. Please take evidence of your last reading, current dose and date of next test.
The vaccinations are taking place at the Staffordshire County Showground, Weston Road, Stafford, ST18 0BD in the Ingestre Suite. On the days that the vaccinations are happening there are volunteers on the gates to direct patients to the car park.
You will need to be able to get to this venue in order to have the vaccination.
This link will take you to the leaflet which has full details about the vaccine programme and we would advise you to read this and decide if you want the vaccination before we call you. We are informed around 10 days before we receive the vaccine and therefore have a very limited window in which to contact you and book appointments.
For more information regarding when people will expect to receive their vaccines please see the latest information by clicking here. .
Please do not ring us about these appointments we will ring those who are eligible as soon as we are informed of their availability.
