Electronic Prescriptions Service (EPS)

We are now using the electronic transfer of prescriptions service to place barcoded prescription details on your prescription ready for scanning at your chosen pharmacy. This will involve the transfer of drug details over the NHS version of the internet. IF YOU WISH TO OPTOUT OF THIS SYSTEM PLEASE INFORM RECEPTION IN PERSON OR BY PHONE AFTER 11AM.

The NHS is introducing barcodes on prescriptions as the first step in moving from paper to electronic prescriptions - please pick up a leaflet from the Repeat Prescriptions desk at the Surgery for further details or visit Connecting for Health website.

Please also see our EPS Security and Confidentiality FAQ.

What is the Review Date?

Your repeat prescription request form will have a review date on it. This is for surgery use only and does not automatically mean that you have to see a doctor or nurse at that time. If you do need to see a doctor we will place a specific message to you on your request slip. If you have any queries about this please ask to speak to our prescription clerks.
